Ihram is a sacred state that a Muslim enters before performing Hajj or Umrah.
While in Ihram, a pilgrim follows specific rules and wears special clothing to maintain purity and focus on worship.
It symbolizes humility, equality, and spiritual readiness before Allah.
Pilgrims must enter Ihram before crossing the Miqat (designated boundary points around Makkah).
Men and women make the intention (Niyyah) for Umrah/Hajj at this stage.
Two unstitched white sheets:
Rida – draped over the shoulders
Izar – wrapped around the waist
No stitched clothing, underwear, or shoes covering the ankle
Sandals allowed
Modest, loose clothing covering the entire body
Headscarf (hijab) required
Face and hands may remain uncovered
🟢 Tip: Wear comfortable clothing and sandals suitable for walking long distances.

✂️ Cutting hair or nails
💔 Engaging in sexual activity
🗣️ Arguing, fighting, or swearing

✅ Bottom line:
