Your Umrah will be slower — that’s okay
Caring for family is ibadah
You may not pray every salah in the Haram — no guilt
Staying patient with each other = reward
👉 Intention tip: “Ya Allah, accept this Umrah and my care for my family.”
Shared family bag:
Copies of passports/visas
Snacks for kids
Wet wipes & tissues
Small prayer mats
Band-aids & basic meds
Foldable water bottle
For kids & elders:
ID bracelet with hotel name
Comfortable shoes (more important than looks)
Light jacket (AC is strong)
🚫 Avoid heavy backpacks — rotate who carries the bag.
Men: change into Ihram early (airport or home)
Women & kids: regular modest clothes
Make niyyah together quietly
Say Talbiyah softly — kids can repeat or listen
🟢 If a child cries or gets distracted, it does not affect Umrah.
Hold hands or assign a meeting point
Don’t stop suddenly when you see the Kaaba (many do)
Make a short group dua, then move
🟢 Avoid peak crowd times with kids (right after Maghrib/Isha).
Best tips:
Stay on outer circles — more space
Use stroller or wheelchair if needed (allowed)
One adult focuses on counting rounds
If someone gets tired, pause on the side, then continue
👶 Carrying a child during Tawaf is allowed
👵 Elders can sit — rest does not cancel Tawaf
⚠️ Do NOT force kids or elders near the Black Stone.
Pray two rak‘ahs anywhere easy
Drink Zamzam together
Make a family dua (very powerful moment)
Elevators available for wheelchairs/strollers
Sit, snack, continue — no rush
Men jog between green lights only if safe
🟢 If a child needs the restroom, pause and resume later.
Choose a nearby, less crowded barber
Women can trim hair in hotel room
Explain to kids this means Umrah is complete 🎉
Go back to hotel
Shower, rest, hydrate
Return to Haram later when everyone is refreshed
🟢 Many families break Umrah into two sessions — totally fine.
Pushing everyone to stay together at all times
Ignoring fatigue
Getting frustrated in crowds
Over-scheduling worship
Remember: Allah sees effort, not exhaustion
If your Umrah feels “messy”:
That’s family Umrah
Angels record every step, tear, and patience
You may leave more rewarded than someone who did it alone
